WHAT TO KNOW:

  • Andy is a former member of the Baltimore City Charter Review Commission. In 2024, he chaired Baltimore for Democracy, a ballot issue committee created to oppose Baltimore's City Council Size Reduction Charter Amendment (Question H). Question H was defeated with over 62% of the vote in opposition. This was only the second defeat of a Baltimore City charter amendment in more than 25 years.

  • Andy is a national leader in the Green Party effort to have access to state ballots.The Maryland Green Party submitted sufficient signatures to maintain ballot-qualified status in August of 2024. The party is guaranteed a Gubernatorial nomination for the 2026 election. With a vote total of over 1 percent, Andy would enable the Green Party ballot-qualified status for the 2028 election.

  • Andy has established a campaign finance entity and is preparing to file his Certificate of Candidacy with the Maryland State Board of Elections in early 2025. He is the first candidate to publicly declare their intention to earn the MGP’s 2026 in its July 2026 primary.

  • Andy has received a seed grant from the Green Party of the United States (GPUS).

  • Andy and his campaign team are:

  • managing several independent fundraising initiatives;

  • holding events around Maryland,

  • hosting frequent podcasts to discuss issues with local activists, researchers, and advocates.

  • Andy will be available to news media after the event.
