THIS EVENT IS ORGANIZED BY BALTIMORE RACIAL JUSTICE ACTION
The ballot is often the primary way Black and non-Black people of color are encouraged to support our individual and community liberation. However, economics also provides a vehicle for Black Liberation that does not depend on the cooperation of a majority of white Americans. Cooperative economics provides vehicles to address the intersection of class and race, opening the door for low- and working income, formerly incarcerated, and other individuals who are assigned to the margins of society, to buy in and to control their futures and the economic futures of their communities.
Join BRJA moderator Michelle Duberry and special guests including Taji Amani ,Dr. Marisela Gomez, and Sean Smeeton as we explore the opportunities and limits of cooperative economics, including models operating in Baltimore MD.
